A Message from The Rev. Chip Dischinger
March 7, 2023

My Dear Siblings in Christ,
It is a joy to be a part of the blessed community of faith and work at Trinity Episcopal Church, Belleville as your Interim Priest in Charge! I feel a strong spirit of grace and holiness, here, and I look forward to growing with our vision of serving God and our neighbor with our whole soul and mind.
A fundamental part of our community’s practice is our Eucharistic celebration. The Rev Dr. Jay Emerson Johnson places John’s Gospel account of the feeding of the 5,000 as a frame for our Eucharistic understanding. He says that "divine abundance along with a larger view of our place in the wider world are promised in our Eucharistic celebration". My hope is that we will continue to grow in our faithful practice of the Sacraments.
On March 8, at the midweek celebration of Holy Eucharist, we will reverently walk through our safe receiving of the consecrated wine with the common cup. And, again on Sunday, March 12, we will reverently (and patiently) explain and move through our safe reception.
I will be happy to talk with anyone about their needs or concerns about our administration of Holy Communion.
Blessings and Peace,
Rev. Chip +
